A Partnership Advancing a Skills-First Workforce Strategy

Partner

Since launching our partnership in 2003, Harvard University has hosted more than 580 Year Up United interns across information Technology, Software Development, Business Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Administration, and Project and Program Management. Built on a shared commitment to expanding access to opportunity while strengthening institutional capacity, the partnership connects skilled early-career talent with real workforce needs across the University.

Through this collaboration, Harvard gains access to a steady, reliable pipeline of talent who contribute immediate value to teams across schools and administrative units. To date, more than 210 Year Up United alumni have converted into full-time roles at Harvard, continuing to grow, earn promotions, and contribute to mission-driven work across the institution.

For Harvard, the partnership has become a meaningful component of its long-term workforce strategy—helping to fill skills gaps, strengthen organizational capacity, and build a resilient, future-ready workforce. The results demonstrate that investing in skills-first talent not only expands access to opportunity, but also delivers measurable business value, sustainability, and long-term impact within higher education.
