Step 1: Is Year Up United Right For You? (Before You Even Apply)
Before diving headfirst into the application, take some time to explore Year Up United. Career Pathways isn't just a job training program, it's a transformative experience that can turn your passion into a lifelong career. So, before you apply, ask yourself the following:
- Am I a young adult (18-29 years old) motivated to launch my career?
- Do I have a high school diploma or GED?
- Am I willing to commit to the program's demanding schedule?
- Am I eager to learn and grow both personally and professionally?
- Am I a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, DACA recipient, or hold an employment authorization card?
- Have I not obtained a bachelor’s degree?
- Do I live within commuting distance of a Year Up United location? Although Year Up United has shifted to a hybrid program model, you must be able to regularly attend in-person days throughout the duration of the program
- Am I available five days a week (M-F) for the entire duration of the program?
