Year Up Greater Boston opened its doors to 22 students in July 2001 as the first Year Up site in the country. Year Up Greater Boston now has over 500 students in four campuses.

Downtown Campus

The downtown location at 45 Milk Street is in a former bank building that was the skyscraper of its day when it was built over 120 years ago. Year Up moved to this location in 2014 after 13+ years at 93 Summer Street. Year Up Greater Boston shares the building with Year Up’s national headquarters and Year Up’s CEO, Gerald Chertavian. The downtown location offers classes in Investment Operations, Quality Assurance, Project Management Support, and Cybersecurity.

Quincy Campus

Year Up Greater Boston launched its second location in October 2016 at State Street’s John Adams Building in North Quincy. Students at the Quincy campus study Investment Operations and use the company as its extended classroom. State Street employees serve as mentors to each Quincy student, and all Quincy students do their internship within State Street, which has hired over 700 Year Up graduates, the most of any Year Up partner nationwide.

Roxbury Community College Campus

Year Up Greater Boston launched its third location in March 2017 at Roxbury Community College (RCC). Students at the Roxbury campus study Information Technology and Business Analytics and benefit from RCC’s library, gym, tutoring resources, free parking, and other services offered by the college. As students work toward a degree at RCC, they also develop the work experience and network they need for information technology and business careers.

North Shore Community College Campus

Year Up Greater Boston launches its fourth location in January 2020 at North Shore Community College (NSCC) in Lynn. This is an ideal site for students who want to join Year Up and also stay on the North Shore, instead of going all the way to Boston. Students at the Lynn campus study Information Technology and benefit from all the services offered by the college. Students work to complete their networking certification while also preparing for their Year Up internship.
