Year Up Included on List for 7th Consecutive Year
Year Up was recently named one of the best nonprofits to work for by TheNonProfitTimes, marking its seventh consecutive year on the list. The award program is sponsored by The Nonprofit Times and Best Companies Group (BCG), which utilize a nationwide survey to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the nonprofit industry in the United States.
The list is determined based on information gathered by the Best Companies Group, Inc., which is then analyzed and categorized according to eight core focus areas: the organization’s leadership and planning, corporate culture and communication, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall employee engagement.

Year Up is a national organization that provides professional career training to low income young adults and helps them secure internships with top U.S. companies. Successful completion of the intensive, one-year program enables graduates to move into employment and higher education. Partner companies providing corporate internships include Google, Facebook, DropBox, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, eBay, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Am Ex, GE, Gap, Kaiser Permanente and Wells Fargo. Year Up currently serves students and companies in 18 major metropolitan areas, including New York, D.C., Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle and the Bay Area (with campuses in SF and Silicon Valley), among others. Nationally, Year Up has served more than 16,000 students to date and been consistently effective, with an 85% success rate for graduates.
