In his role in Senior Client Development at the Risk Strategies Company (RSC), Newell Chavis manages 150+ Large and Mid-market clients across multi-practices ranging from Architects & Engineers, Professional Services, Construction, Manufacturers and Not for Profit organizations. Newell maintains a national sales approach to consistent annual goals of $100K+ in new client acquisition across diversified lines of business and he develops and bolsters RSC’s existing presence within both local and national trade and industry organizations. RSC Brokerage is ranked among the top 25 insurance brokerages in the United States, has over 20 regional offices, and allows Newell to provide his expertise of building relationships on a national level.
Newell has 12 years of risk management and insurance consulting experience, and created the proprietary HealthPlan Pulse™ platform for small businesses to gather HIPPA compliant employee data to assist executives in choosing customized benefit plan designs. In addition, he has written articles on Health Insurance for SHRM and HRNY, spoken on Wellness for local trade organizations such as CIANJ, and is a contributing member of MAS of NY. He also mentors young adults as an active member of Year Up, and has further involved RSC in establishing the firm as a Year Up Corporate Sponsor, providing ongoing internships.
