Year
Up Providence: In Progress!
The
Providence team is assembled and we've moved into our permanent
space on 10 Dorrance Street. On Monday, March 7, 2005, a ribbon
cutting cermony helped herald the arrival of our first class
of students. The ceremony was attended by Providence Mayor David
N. Cicilline and Rhode Island Senator Jack Reed. Click here
to read the press release for the event.
We are now recruiting students for our second class beginning in August. Click here if you would like to download the Providence application.
We are also working to secure our founding corporate apprenticeship partners. If you are interested in participating in our apprenticeship program, or would like to learn more, please contact Sara Strammiello at: sstrammiello@yearup.org.
We thank all of our supporters in the Providence community for their warm welcome and look forward to long lasting partnerships.

Up does not accept the opportunity gap that exists in
our nation. We are determined to provide our urban young
adults with the education, guidance and support they need
to realize their potential." |
